What is Domain Nameserver?
Domain nameserver is a hostname server where you can delegate your domain name to host your website online or email hosting. Every domain name must have two hostname servers as their primary domain nameservers in order to have their domain name resolves in the internet and fully functional to host a website and connect emails to the domain name.
What is a Domain Contact?
Domain contact is a contact detail required to register for a domain name. Generally, there are four type of contacts required such as Registrant, Admin, Billing and Technical contacts. Therefore, you will notice that every domain registration application will ask for these four type of contacts details.
What is a Registry, a Registrar and a Registrant?
There are key role differences between registry, registrar and registrant.

What is the requirement to register a domain name?
There is no requirement to register most domain extensions (TLDs) such as .com, .net, .org, .website, .coffee, etc. However, there are eligibility requirement need to be fulfilled for certain type of domain extensions (TLDs) like country code TLDs and new domain extensions (new TLDs) such as .co.id, .id, .com.au, .sydney, .com.sg, .dentist, .lawyer, etc in order to successfully register the domains.
What is Domain Expiry Date?
Every domain registration will have an expiry date based on how long the domain name is registered for. You are required to renew your domain name prior to the expiry date in order to maintain your ownership towards the domain name. Otherwise, your domain will expire and could be registered by someone else once the domain has passed the expiry date.
How to change domain nameservers?
To change your domain nameservers, you must first login into your account and click on manage domain. On this page, you can either delegate or change your domain nameservers in bulk or a single domain.
To change your domain nameservers for a single domain:
- Login into your account
- Click on Domain -> Manage on the menu
- Click on the domain name
- In the Domain Details page, go to the bottom section – NAMESERVERS / DNS RECORDS
- You can set up nameservers, change DNS records and do the domain redirection
- In Register Nameserver IP Address sction, you can also register your own name servers by using your domain name itself
To change your domain nameservers in bulk,
- Login into your account
- Click on Domain -> Manage on the menu
- Select domains for which you want to change nameservers
- Click DELEGATE button
- In the popup modal, change nameserver settings from the drop down list
What is a Domain Name?

How to register domain names?
There are a few ways to register domain names with us. All of them have to go through domain availability check.
One of the most common ways is:
- Go to our home page(https://www.getyour.id/) or domain registration page(https://www.getyour.id/domain/register-domains) and put in domain names you want to check. Our domain availability check engine will return you the availability results one by one.
- When you see the domains you want to register are available, you can click Add To Cart buttons to add them into the shopping cart.
- Click Checkout button in the shopping cart popover box on the top right corner of the page. You will be redirected to a Login page if you haven’t logged in our system.
- If you haven’t created an account with us, you will need to register an account on our Signup page(click the Account Signup button at the Login page). Otherwise, just login with your email and password.
- After account login or registration, you will find yourself in the shopping cart page. This is the place to configure your shopping cart, mainly the contact information. Any domain will need 4 contacts details(Admin, Technical, Billing and Support). For some domains such as certain ccTLDs, local presences are required. You can provide local presence information in the contact configuration popup box, OR choose us as your local presence(trustee) if applicable(fees might be applied).
- The last step is payment. There are two options of payment – Credit Card and Paypal.
- After successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email and your domains will be in Pending status.
- Normally it will take some time for your domain to be fully activated. When it happens you will receive another email and your domain status in our system will be Active.
- Now your domains are successfully registered.
